I am not going to pretend this is straight forward, but if you want to get the most out of your PSP and memory card, learning how to encode using x264, megui, besweet and batch processing of atomchanger.exe is vital.

from there, download avisynth, x264, DGMPGDec 1.41 or higher and mp4box.
also, virtualdubmod is always handy to demux audio from an avi:

If you download the standard x264 package from sharktooth, it will
contain profiles, one of which is a psp profile.
