!!Be aware, there is a problem with some
users and megui threads
Its become apparant that some users are having problems with PSP encodes vie
megui when x264 uses more than one thread. I do not know how widespread this
issue is, but i have experienced it, along with several others.
The problem can also arise as megui has a setting to automatically set the
number of threads based on your CPU. So even if your manually put in 1 thread in
the config, megui will put it to 2 if it detects a HT or multi core processor
(only confirmed on my HT p4).
I advise turning this off, doing a test, then if it works fine, try setting the threads to 2 and see if that then causes problems. Sometimes the PSP will refuse to play the file, other times it will lock up the machine totally...
to change the setting, go to tools-setting in megui (not the x264 config) and untick "automatically set number of threads", see pic below.
then make sure threads is one in the x264 config.
